I'm studying in Montreal, at McGill. I moved to Montreal in the end of August and planning on staying here until the end of May.

ABOUT ME

My name is Elísabet and I´m 22 years old. I´m from Iceland. I finished my high school half a year earlier. I currently live in Montreal. I moved to Canada because I'm doing an exchange student program in McGill University and also to collect more experience for my future. I love travelling and experiencing new cultures and planning to explore the world in the future! I love to meet new people from all corners of the world and meeting people on my journeys!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had two couchsurfing experience and both of them were really great. One of them was just meeting up with a person for lunch and the other one was that the person hosted me for 2 nights :)

I love watching comedy, drama, romance, thriller, horror and adventure films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most beautiful place that I have been to is Cadaques. It´s located in Cataluña on Costa Brava. I recommend that everyone make a trip there because it´s so worth it, although the journey to get there is quiet difficult. Also my country, Iceland - the landscape, nation parks, the nature, glaciors and the view that you can see there is amazing !

My home country is Iceland. I would love to tell you a little bit about it. Iceland in full the Republic of Iceland, is a Nordic country between the North Atlantic and the Arctic Ocean. It has a population of 325,671 and an area of 103,000 km2 (40,000 sq mi), making it the most sparsely populated country in Europe. The capital and largest city is Reykjavík (where I live); the surrounding areas in the South-West of the country are home to two-thirds of the population. Iceland is volcanically and geologically active. The interior consists mainly of a plateau characterised by sand and lava fields, mountains and glaciers, while many glacial rivers flow to the sea through the lowlands. Iceland is warmed by the Gulf Stream and has a temperate climate despite a high latitude just outside the Arctic Circle.
