About Me

I'm from a place called Annapolis, Maryland. A colonial town in the United States. I've been living in northern Germany learning how to speak German and how to take care of a rare breed of sheep indigenous to north west Germany since late January '16.
Keep an open mind, carry a warm heart, and have a helping hand! Balance pleasures with sacrifices. Think before you speak. TRUST YOUR GUT.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here to meet people and to see the places where they exist! I like hearing people's stories and sharing tales and jokes. I have plenty of jokes!

I've only successfully used CouchSurfing one time. Two friends and I stayed with Jared McQueen. Jared let us camp out on a beautiful terrace on his farm. I think if you ever find yourself in North Carolina you should see Snaggy Mountain! WWOOF is the organization that I've used to be a guest on farms in the USA and now Germany. I really enjoy sharing living spaces with strangers and getting to know their way of life, even if it's for a short time.

Interests

I love going to concerts so that I can dance and get lost in the music. I really enjoy playing guitar and consider it my best talent. If we meet and there are more than one instrument around, we must jam if you play as well. I really like learning and speaking new languages and can speak a bit of German and I can say a few things in Spanish as well. I like hiking, cyclimg and camping when I have the time. I find time in nature to be very valuable. I have a passion for agriculture and I hope to be on the cutting edge of agricultural sciences in the near future. I love to hear people's stories about their travels and some of the funny and interesting things that make up their day-to-day lives. I love telling jokes and having fun!

Music, Movies, and Books

Some books that I have read and recommend are: The Motorcycle Diaries by Che Guevara, Get in the Van by Henry Rollins, Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee by Dee Brown, and The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. I'm not very seasoned with film... As far as music I like many types of music, but I mainly listen to rock and funk music. Some of my favorite groups are: Led Zeppelin, Primus, King Crimson, the Grateful Dead, the String Cheese Incident, Umphrey's McGee, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bad Brains, Widespread Panic, Radiohead, Parliament-Funkadelic, Talking Heads, and many more. I really love live music and will often travel hours to see some bands!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time I had to be cut out of my mom! I don't even remember this happening! Crazy right?! If given time, I can tell some funny stories, but I'd rather do that in person. I really don't have mmore than one instrument around, we willan y crazy stories that come to mind. Sorry!

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a bit about organic farming and gardening. My claim to fame is my guitar playing and it's the one skill that I am confident enough with to teach others. I love languages and communicating with people of different backgrounds.I can help with speaking English too, but I don't speak the Queen's English.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As I guest I a more than open to share stories talk about art, politics, natural phenomena, technology, beer, food or whatever comes across the conversation table. If my host plays music it would be my pleasure to play music with them or at least play my guitar for them.
