ABOUT ME

My name is Patrick and I just returned to Couchsurfing! I previously lived and traveled around the World from 2014 to 2021 as a digital nomad. I made the decision in 2022 to return home to San Diego California to begin a new chapter in life. Now that I've built a home base, I'm ready to get back out and travel as much as I can!

I am a very outgoing person who loves adventures of all kinds! I love meeting new people and am very open minded. I'm an active person who enjoys keeping busy, but I also enjoy lounging around and relaxing at home. I am not afraid to take risks and there is little I will shy away from.

PHILOSOPHY

My main philosophy about life is to never EVER give up! We all have a story and are all on our own rollercoaster ride. It's those twists and turns that make strong and better people. Just like anyone else, I have had many ups and downs in my life and have learned that no matter how bad something is or continues to get, it can only get better.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I joined summer of 2014 after hearing about it through a friend. So far it has been amazing! I have meet some amazing people, made new friends and have had experiences I would never of had if I didn't couch surf.

Interests

I enjoy everything from hiking, white water rafting, bicycling and horse back riding. Through high school and some of college I swam and played water polo. I love dining out with friends, movies, and most of all being spontaneous! As outgoing as I can be, I love staying at home and having a casual time with friends. Home made dinner and wine is always the best!

Music, Movies, and Books

MOVIES: My favorite movie of all time is Aliens! I love James Cameron and Sigourney weaver! It has some of the most bad ass moments in the Sci Fi Universe and I have easily watched it over a 100 times lol

I enjoy sci fi, Drama, action, horror, comedy and adventure.

MUSIC: When it comes to music there is nothing specific I like. It really depends on my mood and what I listen too. I love all different kinds of music. I have been really into progressive house lately.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I made the decision in mid 2017 that I would take a year off to travel around Asia. I didn't just want to do the normal South East Asia path, but explore places many people don't visit often. On August 15th 2017 I landed in Astana Kazakhstan and my travel journey began! I spent two months traveling through Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan all by land! I later spent four weeks traveling through Russia and into Siberia. I went on to spend five weeks in China, a month in Taiwan and onward to much of South East Asia. It was an amazing experience!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love listening to other peoples stories and experiences. I love sharing stories and things about my own life as well.

I played water polo and swam through high school and part of college. So I can teach you different techniques in swimming and how to tread water forever! "egg beater" hehe
