I’m an enthusiastic, active, optimistic, curious and open-minded person. I was born in the Netherlands but since I’m 10 years old I have been living in Spain. I spend my adolescence in the beautiful island of Ibiza and since 2008 I’m living in amazing city of Barcelona! I studied environmental science and public health, and I’m actually working in the field of environment and health. I’m an active person who is really interested in culture, meeting new people, new cultures, and many other interesting things. I actually do theater, dancing lindy hop, beach volley at the beaches of Barcelona and during the last year I started to do Yoga and meditation to clear and relax my mind!! I’m really excited to know new persons and cultures in the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on couchsurfing to meet new people, new cultures, new perspectives of live, having a nice chat about live, drink a fresh beer or a good wine together, discover remote places where only local people go, discover new types of music, different kind of cuisines, and above all getting new experiences of live and talk about how we can get a more beautiful planet!!! Also, for many people it is not always possible to travel every year, couchsurfing is a great opportunity to bring your holidays to your own place!!!

I like all diferent kinds of music but I will but some random artists I usually listen to: Manu Chao, La troba kung-fu, Otis Redding, Ella Fitzegerald and Louis Amstrong, Miles Davis, Lee Morgan, Alabama Shakes, Of monsters and Men, Norah Jones, Calle 13, etc

Some movies: Forrest Gump, Intouchables, Manchester by the sea, City of Gods, Lion King, Trainspotting, In name of the father, etc.

Books: The Power of Now (Eckart Tolle) and "Consciousness" and "Meditation" (OSHO).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A three day hike in the beautiful national park of "Corcovado", Costa Rica. It is one of the richest places in terms of biodiversity of the world. The Jungle was full of the most authentic flora and fauna. We had the option to see all species of monkeys, birds (the beautiful Macaw), snakes, rabbits, crocodiles, tapir, and I got in love with the sweet white-nose coati! An unforgettable experience!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share all the knowledge I have gained living in the Netherlands, Spain and Iceland. Also, my main interests and worries such as environmental awareness, public health, inequalities in the world. Also music, dance, cuisine, sports, different cultures and many other interesting things! I am also into deep conversation and I am very curious to know everything of the hosts!!
