About Me

Hi! I'm Mark.

I like travelling and meeting new people. I like playing computer games and playing musical instruments, so if you do either of those, we would probably get along! Or even if you don't, we still might. :)

I'm looking forward to my two upcoming trips : Sydney and Japan!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The best way to know a culture is through its people. Making friends with locals is the real prize, the accommodation is secondary.

Interests

Number one would have to be video games. They have been a part of my growing up and I believe they are the perfect form of story telling and art.

A close runner up would be music. First studied how to play the guitar about 9 years ago. Piano 7 years ago (favorite instrument!), and I bought a drum set for myself on my first few months of working!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music : All-American Rejects, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, 5 Seconds of Summer, The Click Five, Fall Out Boy, A Rocket To The Moon, Boys Like Girls, Kina Grannis. Definitely a lot somewhere along those lines.

Movies : This is hard. I seem to like every movie I watch. :/

Books : Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus series, Harry Potter (who doesn't?)

Games : I play a LOT of games, but these two struck me real hard : Child of Light and The Wolf Among Us

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've recently been in a skateboard accident. It was raining, running fast due to being on a sloped road, and I had no helmet on.

I slipped.

I was lucky I ended up with a Grade 2 sprain, wounded right arm and palm, and a bruised right hip. I was lucky my head was unaffected, or any other part.

It made me think twice about what I'm doing with my life. We are so fragile. It was only then that I truly "lived life to the fullest".

Hence, I must travel more. And I hope you could host me when you're available! :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you how to play some instruments if you want to!

I'd love to learn the Japanese language more so we could practice if you're a native speaker.

And finally, maybe we could share travel stories?

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories and music. If you have a guitar or piano we could sing to our hearts' content!
