One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I must have been about 5 or 6 years old, when our family went on holiday to Eilat in the Middle East. One afternoon we spent on a cul de sac of a beach, with a small mouth into the sea. This small opening was packed, dense, with jellyfish. The size of a child's fist and smaller. A slight, vivid memory of swimming, sweeping through this jelly, the creatures padding my body, blobbing across my goggled eyes, my mouth puffed up, shut tight in fear of swallowing one.
