About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm more quiet type, but can't stop talking when I get to know the person more. Not big fan of clubbing, I prefer cozy sitting in my favourite bar while listening to good live music with some other weirdos like me (not necessarily). Haven't travelled much, so everything seems interesting and worth seeing to me. I'm very much interested in photography, music, movies, books, all kinds of art, even though I don't create much of it myself. I'm very open minded, tolerant, peaceful and friendly person. Want to meet various people, don't care about their gender, religion, orientation, age etc.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I cannot host at the moment but I would love to meet anyone who comes to Kaunas or Alytus in Lithuania (I can come to other cities too and be your company, but cannot guide there).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not that much. I've been hosting at my previous flat few times (not through cs), but since I moved to a new one there's no space for that :/ 2 years ago when I was traveling in Poland stayed at couchsurfers' home, experiences were nearly perfect ^^

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big movie fanatic, I can talk about movies, actors, soundtracks etc. for hours. I watch everything from Asian especially Korean ("Oldboy", "I Saw the Devil", "Yokomichi Yonosuke") to European especially French ("Amélie", "Three Colors: Blue", "Amour", "The Broken Circle Breakdown") or American ("Into the Wild", "Fight Club", "Forrest Gump").

My music is basically rock, all kinds of, but usually alternative, indie, british rock. Seen live "Placebo", "Depeche Mode", "Rammstein", "Linkin Park", "Red hot chili peppers", James Blunt, "30 Seconds to Mars", Avril Lavigne and a lot of Lithuanian singers. Other bands I like (and someday would like to see live, because being in concert is an incredible feeling, I can't live without it for too long) Lana del Rey, "Bastille", "Dry the River", Tom Odell, "Coldplay", "Kings of Leon"... After living in Korea I became interested in fascinating Korean/Japanese hip-hop!~ Music is also one of my favorite subjects, time flies while talking about books/movies/music.

Reading is my hobby since childhood. I've read a lot since then and a lot has changed but few authors I still adore very much are Haruki Murakami ("Dance Dance Dance", "A Wild Sheep Chase", "Norwegian Wood", "Kafka on the Shore"), Erich Maria Remarque ("All Quiet on the Western Front"), Ernest Hemingway "A Farewell to Arms"), Fyodor Dostoyevsky ("Crime and Punishment", "White Nights", "Poor Folk").

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably it sounds usual to most of the people, but climbing a mountain (Sněžka in Czech Republic) was one of the most amazing feelings I've ever felt. We don't really have mountains here in Lithuania, so it was the first time I saw or climbed a mountain, I was about 15-16 then and it's still a special memory to me. Haven't done anything like that since, sadly. 2nd more recent crazy thing I've done was completely leaving my comfort zone and moving to South Korea for 8 months. Life and mind changing...

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't know how to cook, so I would appreciate a person who could teach me that :)
I could teach some words from various languages (from Lithuanian or Japanese to Russian or German) or basic photography since it's been my hobby for years (I'm not professional, unfortunately).

Countries I’ve Visited

Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Poland, South Korea, Switzerland, Vatican City State
