About Me
Just do the things you wanna do, and don't forget to use your brain while doing so.
Traveler/Photographer/Software engineer
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lmyslinski/
I'm currently doing a 6 month trip all over SE Asia as well as the US. My goal is to meet as many interesting people as I can and increase my understanding of the world. I'm always open to discussion and exchanging viewpoints.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've hosted people a few times, was a pretty cool experience. I'm a big fan of meeting open-minded people. It's also a great way to escape the typical tourist stuff, which is not my favourite. I'm always more interested in seeing the actual local lifestyle.
Interests
My most recent focus is photography. I love increasing my knowledge about the world, whether it's about the current situation in the middle east, differences in perception between cultures or just learning how stuff work. I prefer to discuss ideas and concepts instead of events. I try to read a lot. Also I do too many sports to list them here.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
I grew up on nu-metal bands like Linkin Park, Korn, Disturbed, Papa Roach (the last one is the only one that still has a special place in my heart). Since the teenage years my musical taste has expanded greatly in large due to Spotify, to an extent that I am no longer able to classify what genres I listen to. Some current favourites:
- Anathema
- Elder Island
- HAELOS
- Rudimental
- Pentatones
- Colour Haze
- Corey Taylor
- Bass Astral x Igo
Books:
I absolutely adore two polish writers: Ryszard Kapuscinski, the Nobel-awarded journalist as well Tomek Michniewicz, arguably the person who has impacted my world view more than any other author in the last couple years. His books really taught me that there is no right or wrong in this world, everything is relative.
Fact literature in general is one I always read with pleasure.
Movies:
- Wes Anderson
- Guy Ritchie
- Quentin Tarantino
- Martin Scorsese
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Just one? So when I graduated with a pack of my friends from high school, we bough a bus. Refurnished it a bit, and made over 8000km in over a month throughout all of Europe.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a thing or two about photography, geopolitics, economy. Programming of course as well, but I don't think many people are interested in that :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
When I'm visiting I usually try to bring something with me as a gift, but sometimes when I'm already on the road it's not an option. I've hosted more times than I've stayed with someone, so I'm more familiar with how it looks like from your side. If you want to spend time together, I am happy to do so, unless I state otherwise in my request. If not however, then I am perfectly happy with just having a couch to keep my stuff. I tend to be quite busy myself when not travelling, so I understand that you have your own business to do.
I have a plenty of stories to entertain you, and am happy to help with whatever you need help with, whether it's doing the dishes, laundry or picking something up.
