About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Become a rainbow-coloured unicorn.

ABOUT ME

I'm easygoing, calm, cheerful and friendly. I can hold a conversation about virtually anything. I have an alarmingly acute fixation on music, (listening to music, playing music, reading music, relaxing to music, and anything involving music) visual arts(movies, theatre, paintings), books, the smell of books, looking at books, having books, books about music!! and pretty-coloured, shiny things.

I enjoy learning about cultures, languages and history. I absolutely adore travelling, (the wanderlust is strong with this one). I love coffee, tea and wine, I'm a skilled cook,(though I can only cook so many things). I am organised and responsible, a bit of a geek and get distracted easily.

ps. I am a huge klutz.

Music, Movies, and Books

Yes please?
I could play the piano for 8 years, now I've forgotten. Same happened to the violin. I "play" the guitar, and sing sometimes, just for fun, I am not that good. However, I do listen to music all the time. Can't live without it. Mostly I listen to alternative rock, house, bossa-nova, progressive rock, grunge, electro-pop/rock, punk, jazz and blues, amongst many more I am sure, just never have been good at categorising the sounds. ( Off the top of my head: Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode, Muse-before 2nd law album exclusively. Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, The Cure, The Black Keys, The Strokes, Battleships, Jack White and all his projects, Elbow, Airbag, Arcade Fires, Daft Punk, Foals, Incubus, Interpol, Jamiroquai, Joy Division, The Smiths, Morrisey, Kings of Convenience, The Whitest Boy Alive, Massive Attack, Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Oasis, Pearl Jam, Placebo, Tame Impala, Tears for Fears, The Fratellis, Smashing Pumpkings, Stone Roses, The XX, Vampire Weekend... And I could go on for a while so I will stop now.)

I enjoy watching movies or TV shows often, I love going to the movies, but I usually watch them at home.I'm a big fan of horror and thriller films, but I love a good adventure movie or a drama or just plain weird. Just don't give me that rom-com crap,(I do have the occasional guilty pleasure but mostly, ew). Just would rather watch some Stanley Kubrick, Lars Von Trier, Darren Arnofsky, Quentin Tarantino, Guy Ritchie, David Fincher,... you get the idea.

Books.... rawr. I love everything about them. Stephen King is a small obsession I have, maybe more than small, I love Jonathan Saintlofer, John Krazenbach, even George R.R. Martin but not particularly his Songs of Ice and Fire AKA. Game of thrones, I love Patrick Suskind, Anne Rice, I am a nerd so of course I love Harry Potter, Suzanne Collins, and so on and so forth, I can't name them all.

Ps. I also play a lot of games.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a bit of cooking Mexican food, personally I do enjoy it, I am obviously fluent in Spanish and Mexican slang, I am interested and read a lot about history. I actually can read Music sheets, I mean, I did study music theory for quite a while, I play some (not particularly good at it though) I'm not very talented, actually my special knowledge is English, sorry.
I'd like to learn about different cultures, learn more languages, little by little.
I'd like to swap travel stories, history and traditions with people from virtually anywhere, share meals and a good time.
