ABOUT ME

I am easy-going, friendly and always willing to try new experiences.

I speak French, English and a little bit of Spanish. For a few years now I have started to learn Dutch. I am slowly getting better haha

I am originally from Montreal, Canada but I currently live in Brussels, Belgium. This is an exciting time for me to visit new places, expand my network, and enjoy what the world has to offer.

I am on Couchsurfing to meet new people and hopefully make friends that I can keep in touch with in the future. I love learning about people from other places in the world and I think that this platform is a great way to do this.

I think that this CouchSurfing is not only about looking for a place to stay but mostly to share each other's culture. Through traveling, you become aware of your own culture and it is all the more fun to hear about someone else's.

Интересы

When I am abroad, I always try to live the ''local'' experience. I like to do a little bit of everything when I travel, but if there is a must-see or a must-do, I have to go for it, within the limitations of my budget.

Being a runner, I am also really into activities that involve a physical effort, such as going on a hike or walk, climbing a tower, swimming in the ocean. I am at my happiest when I am active.

Музыка, кино и книги

I started reading historical novels in the past few years. My favourite author is Ken Follett. I read about 8 of his books and I loved them all.

For music, I like a little bit of everything, mostly rock, rap and pop.

As for favourite shows: The Office, Ozark, are all binge-worthy. I like watching movies & shows, but mostly with someone else, not so much on my own.

Climbing the Great Wall of China. I challenged myself to do it as fast as possible and I was very satisfied when I reached the end!

Having a background in education, I love to teach and learn, especially when it comes to languages.

I play a the piano and a little bit the guitar. I also like to cook.

I am a genuine easy-going person who likes to be around new people. I think that making new friends is one of the best feelings that you can get in life. I believe firmly that it is always possible to find common interests or relatable topics with whomever you are talking with.

On the more practical side, I am clean and tidy in general and I like to take care of my environment. Be sure to have a nice house-warming gift (most likely typically Canadian/Belgian) from me if you accept to host me.
