ABOUT ME

Quiet but open and friendly, I adore travelling whenever I have (or can make) the opportunity, I love people and learning new things. I've earned a degree in English Literature, and currently divide my time between work as a floral designer and studying fine arts.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in loving deeply, seeking justice, lifelong learning, developing skills, doing everything I do to the best of my ability. It is a duty and a privilege to care for people and the vast natural resources that we share.
My personal philosophy is firmly rooted in my Christian faith, which seems to be woefully misunderstood by the majority of people. If you're interested in what it means to me, I am always happy to exchange worldviews with people who care, no matter how different our values may be.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently, my husband and I are able to offer a comfy couch and good company in Canada's capital. It's nothing fancy, but you're welcome to it :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted once a number of years ago when I was living abroad, and rejoined the couch surfing community when my husband and I moved to Ottawa. Since then, we've had a few opportunities to host and a few to surf, and so far our diverse experiences have been very positive!

In no particular order at all, some of my most favourite authors include Bryce Courtenay, Jane Austen, the Bronte sisters, Sir Walter Scott, J. R. R. Tolkien, the Grimm brothers, C. S. Lewis, L. M. Montgomery, William Shakespeare, John Steinbeck, Charles Dickens, and Mark Twain, Leon Uris, and Orson Scott Card. Some favourite TV shows are Freaks and Geeks, Downton Abbey, Breaking Bad, Fullmetal Alchemist, Gilmore Girls, and Firefly.

My husband and I enjoy teaching our favourite games and our language, we'd love to learn whatever you have to teach, and we think that sharing food and conversation is one of the highlights of couch surfing.
