关于我
UPDATE
Hi everyone! I am currently in Paris (so obviously can't host) and am looking for cool and fun people to hang out with :)
Write me anytime ~
---
Okay, just a short thing. I hate to write it like that but i've been getting a lot of weird messages lately and I just want to clarify: I have a boyfriend, and i'm not interested in using couchsurfing as a dating platform. I want to meet new people and hang out and have fun, but I do not appreciate any advances. That is not what this site is about. Thank you for respecting that :)
CURRENT MISSION
Living by the japanese phrase: 十人十色 - different strokes for different folks
ABOUT ME
Hey there! I'm Meru, a 21 year old student from Vienna who is studying Japanology and International Economy.
I guess I would call myself openminded and interested in meeting new people all around the world!
I am a bit messy (so if anyone stays at my place they're going to have to deal with that) but I promise to be a clean, un-uptrusive guest when I stay with someone else!
I like to go out and just explore cities and meet new people for hours, and i've been to a lot of places all over the world already... but still not enough :3
PHILOSOPHY
I don't think we can judge anyone for his/her actions without really understanding their background, their (his)story, their emotions and motivations.
That's why I just go by the rule: never assume, always question!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I already hosted two people at my place and it was a very nice experience, so I plan on doing that again!
But right now I am mainly traveling, so I'm looking for people to hang out with all over the world and maybe crash then and again at someones palce :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
As mentioned before, I had two previous house guests, both of them were very nice, friendly and trustworthy people. We had very interesting conversations and I grew a lot from that experience.
What I took away is that having rules, and having everyone stick to those rules, is very important for a nice and relaxed atmosphere. Oh, and that you should always talk about problems that you might have! (e.g. One guy stayed for about 3 weeks and he didn't tell me that he needed more storage space for the longest time! I felt really emberassed when I realized how little space he had for his belongings)
