Overview
About Me
Hi! I am Aurélien from France. I live in the southwest part of the country, in Toulouse. I am 24 years old and student in my last year of computer science and robotic engineering.
I would consider myself as independent, open-mind with a need to connect with people through sincere relations. I like adventure, challenges, travels, meeting new friends, speaking different languages, learning, understanding things...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To make travel experiences richer: meeting new kind of people, knowing and understanding local cultures, forgetting and overcoming prejudgments, being surprised by unexpected things or people.
Interests
I am passionate about music, especially music composition and interpretation. I have played piano for a long time.
I feel concerned by philosophy and sciences related to human like sociology or economics. I can spend quite long moments thinking and exchanging about that. This is a spontaneous momentum.
I practice outdoor sports like cycling, swimming, skiing, some climbing or kayaking. Sometimes I travel by bike.

Music, Movies, and Books
- Music: Classical, baroque, romantic music and others old range (Bach, Gabriel Fauré, Beethoven, Erik satie...), movie soundtracks composed by great composers in my view as Joe Hisaishi, Jóhann Jóhannsson, James Horner, Alan Silvestri, Hans Zimmer, Yann Tiersen etc. Some jazz, salsa, bossa nova, rock and occasionally traditional music (oriental, african or gipsy music). Rap and R&B.
- Movies: Movies inspired by Stephen King's books, Studio ghibli productions, psychological, realistic movies. More generally films that deliver a message, that rush your spirit, which you can gain something from.
I also love fantastic movies that subtly scramble the limit between reality and fiction, eventually with a note of drama. In that sense, I really appreciated "The Orphanage", or "Pan's Labyrinth" written by Guillermo del Toro.
- Book Authors: Primo Levi, Sylvain Tesson, Stefan Zweig
