About Me
I don't like the feeling of stagnation, so i am in constant search for new challenges and opportunities. Nothing gives me more energy than meeting new people, especially the ones that make me think and see the things from other perspectives.
Even though I like talking, i always prefer listening to the people and their stories more. Nothing can help you understand the world better than the ability to listen to the people living in it.
I also write a blog: https://darjakosak.wordpress.com/
“The real damage is done by those millions who want to 'survive.' The honest men who just want to be left in peace. Those who don’t want their little lives disturbed by anything bigger than themselves. Those with no sides and no causes. Those who won’t take measure of their own strength, for fear of antagonizing their own weakness. Those who don’t like to make waves—or enemies. Those for whom freedom, honour, truth, and principles are only literature. Those who live small, mate small, die small. It’s the reductionist approach to life: if you keep it small, you’ll keep it under control. If you don’t make any noise, the bogeyman won’t find you. But it’s all an illusion, because they die too, those people who roll up their spirits into tiny little balls so as to be safe. Safe?! From what? Life is always on the edge of death; narrow streets lead to the same place as wide avenues, and a little candle burns itself out just like a flaming torch does. I choose my own way to burn.” -Sophie Scholl
“Fear is simply because you are not living with life. You are living with yourmind. Your concern is always about what is going to happen next. This means that your fear is always about something which does not exist. If you are suffering the non-existential, then your fear is hundred per cent imaginary. Some people might even call it insanity, because you are lost in your imagination. If you would be rooted in reality, there would be no fear. Fear is just the liar. “
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe couchsurfing is more than just a free bed for the night.
I am couchsurfing, because i want to truly and deeply experience the culture of the country i am visiting. You can learn about all the small things that can never be offered in wikipedia or in travel books.
After couchsurfing, hanging out with locals and experiencing the country through their eyes, you can see that the point of travelling is not only to tick the name of the country off the bucket list.
