About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore the world, meet nice people and enjoy life

ABOUT ME

I am friendly, smiling, optimistic, open-minded, unpretentious, curious, sociable, sometimes thoughtful, sometimes crazy, but always polite and very kind person.
I don't smoke and don't drink hard alcohol :)
And of course I have an incurable case of wanderlust.

I think words couldn't describe a person very well. It is better to meet and talk than write.

PHILOSOPHY

"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page." St.Augustine

Always trying to do something. I don't like to sit in one place and do nothing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I think of couchsurfing I don't think of "staying for free in some strangers place". I think of the many people I get to know. The locals , their lifestyle, their personal philosophy, their hobbies and especially I like to communicate with them.

The next big plus of this super community is, that you can see the "hidden" corners of places and cities which you would never see as a "normal" foreign tourist.

Now I am relatively new on couchsurf, so I'm still learning my way in the community. But I expect it to be a long lasting relationship.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started using CS in August 2014 for a trip to Belarus. The idea to go there was spontaneous. So I had only one day, or even only one evening to find a place to stay. Fortunately some very nice people accepted us. It was great, interesting and memorable.

I haven't surfed and hosted a lot, but I have only positive experiences with couchsurfing. And I'm getting more and more enthusiastic about it!

Interests

I don't like to sit on my ass so all time I'm trying to find something to do:)
I love hiking, snowboarding, skydiving, ride a motorbike and everything connected to the active lifestyle! And of course languages, photography, travelling, meeting new people, sharing experiences, lifehacking and bla, bla ..

Music, Movies, and Books

I will mention some films I have seen that I liked:
The Intouchables,Love Actually,Breaking Bad,Limitless,Amores Perros,The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013),A Beautiful Mind,Slumdog Millionaire,Notting Hill,Forrest Gump,Star Wars,Gravity,Dallas Buyers Club

"The Count of Monte Cristo" is my favourite book. I love it most.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1.In February of 2014 I took a 6 day trip on the Trans-Siberian railway, Moscow to Vladivostok. It is now the world’s longest and most iconic rail journey, travelling through 7 time zones, across 6,000 miles, a quarter of the circumference of the earth.

2.When you first jump out of the plane, you get that falling feeling for a brief moment, and the rest of the freefall is absolute bliss. Skydiving is about the closest you can get to flying. And the trip down after the chute opens is pretty fun as well. You can see the video with me via this link:

3.I have visited Republic of Haiti last January. Extreme experience!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a lot about my motherland because I was in all of the 25 regions of Ukraine. So I can tell you what interesting things are there in every part of my country. We could explore together my city.
I can teach you speak ukrainian and russian.
I want to learn new languages, more about photography, would like to listen stories and experience you got from your trips.
I will share with you wi-fi and food when you stay in my house.

I can share my stories, wines, food, joy:)
