About Me

Easy going. I'm not picky, I adapt myself.

Crazy in love with this girl: https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/mel-g-2

My name is Rafael González Dávila and I was born in Mexico City, where I currently live.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in International Commerce and an MBA.

I currently work as a Commercial Manager for a specialized ropes and cords factory.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe in the sharing economy. It's always good to find people who are willing to help you. It's also great when you can help them, too!

I've attended CS meetings, taken salsa lessons and gone camping with other friendly CSers.

Interests

I love traveling, learning and meeting new persons!

I enjoy practicing several sports and outdoor activities, I’m deeply interested in other cultures and learning foreign languages, and I like to make a positive difference wherever I go.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: My favorites are close to Indie Rock and Brit Pop. However, I do listen to other rythms (Electronic, Latin, Jazz, Swing, Blues, Classical, etc.) depending on the occassion. I like to dance, and I try, but I'm not really good at it. I just like to have fun.

Movies: Christopher Nolan (Inception, Dark Knight), Steven Spielberg, Star Wars, The Shining, The Exorcist, Forrest Gump, Back to the Future, Pixar, Birdman, Gravity, and many more.

Books: The Unbearable Lightness of Being, The Art of War, How To Be Alone Essays, Freakonomics, Harry Potter (yes, I liked it), Stephen King.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling around Europe by myself for 6 months when I turned 18.

Designing, building, opening and running a Food Truck, currently operating in Mexico City (I sold my part of the business).

I rescued an amazing dog -Duque- from the streets in the summer of 2013, and then me and my girflriend adopted Uma (mix of Lab with Pitbull, we guess) in 2017.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share a lot about my culture and my experience living in and travelling around a few places. I like learning languages, even a few words, and I can teach you some, too.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to socialize a lot. I always have a story to tell and I'm a good listener. Respect is paramount to my list of values, so not only will I avoid any awkward situations but I will in fact be interested in making the other person feel comfortable.
