About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to enjoy the rare freetime I have and meet new people and make friends around the world.

ABOUT ME

I used to study philosophy for1 year. Now I am a student of social affairs and theology in Marburg, Hessen, 23 yrs old and love talking to creative and open minded people. I am a friendly, creative character, writing books in my freetime, so I am always interested in other people's mindsets, stories and characters.

PHILOSOPHY

Randall Jarrell compared me

to Wallace Stevens, the American poet. I can see it
in the lumbering tercets, but in my mind

I am more like Eliot, a man of Europe, a man
of cultivation. (Dan Chaisson - the elephant)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have experience as a host and I really loved that. It wasn't about this website though, but I would do it again. I have no experience as a guest, but I hope to make some.

Interests

In my freetime I am a writer for youth books and new adult novelty. I love to cook, only vegetarian though, and to have coffee, tea or hot chocolate somewhere. Fairy lights are the best! Reading is my number one hobby, next to writing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I LOVE books and I think everybody can be a reader, if they find THEIR book. I loved reading the harry potter series and all dystopian novels for teens, young adults, such as Hunger games, Cassia & Ky, and so on.
Jodi Picoult, Sarah Dessen, Emily Bronte, Antonia Michaelis, Jay Asher, John Green and Ferdinand von Schirach are just some of my favs authors.
I am not that much of a movie person, series are more my sort of thing. I really enjoy doctor who, Criminal Minds, tbbt and Sherlock, but also children movies such as my little pony fim are great. Of course there are some awesome movies; Harry Potter, Fly away home, Titanic, ... just check my Netflix :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I wanted to do a roadtrip, so I just went for it. I then was in a little town close to Kassel (Hessen) and all the banks where closed for some reason and I did not have online banking yet (I was 18 at the time or so) I then called my boss from work to ask if my money would be there yet. Like, if he would have transfered it a week ago, it deffo would be there, right? So I made it very clear that my question is "Is it ON my bank acc" and not "Did you transfered it yesterday" - he said yes, I should have it for sure. So I used my last ten euros to take a car sharing to munich and when we got there, I checked my bank acc. No money.
I didn't know anyone in munich, my mum was in africa and my dad was working in Italy. So I tramped to the main station and slept four days at the "Bahnhofsmission", where homeless people can stay. It was an amazing experience and I had some great conversations.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to share opinions on special topics and I am always open to learn but also teach. I think a good conversation is one, where the argumentation is solid and where everybody involved is okay with maybe changing their own pov.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love cooking and would deffo cook a meal or two for you. We can have good conversations, go to places or parties or whatever.
