ABOUT ME
I am a social person enjoying my own company. Driven by fascination and curiosity I love to laugh, learn new stuff, play and listen to music, dance, hug, discuss, turn things inside out and most sports I've tried so far. I have a big turn-on on new perspectives and love to see the world through new eyes. Especially together with at least another pair.
Being in a particularly happy mood just tonight when writing this, I just long to experience and share the overflow of life. I could just go on with the list of verbs restarting on A but I guess I better get on with the form for now...
PHILOSOPHY
Wouldn't say that I have a philosophy formulated in words. Yet. And I doubt that these lines will change that...
Perhaps "All is bonus!".
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
New to the organized concept of couchsurfing I came here triggered by a planned trip but once here I guess I'm keen on all parts - with the small disclaimer that I tend to fill my days with more than the hours can accommodate.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am new here on the site but have had some very nice experiences in the past of spontaneous couch surfing, meeting people on the streets during days where I hadn't planned a place for the night.
I've also had more or less known friends from abroad staying at my apartment for up to a month at a time, with all memorable days!
Interests
Oh, this could be made long. I've guess I mentioned a few above.
- writing
- singing
- dancing
- tango
- bachata
- cooking
- socializing
- juggling
- music
- guitar
- piano
- drums
- surfing
- sports
- mathematics
- physics
Music, Movies, and Books
I simply love music and if I was to define my image in terms of what I listen to, those words would be it.
Random selection of last week's consumption: Micheal Jackson, Eak-a-Mouse, Stravinsky, Moderat, Metallica, The Roots, Salif Keita, Ale Möller Band, Ariana Grande, Meshuggah, Pink Floyd, ZZ Top, Dave Holland Quintet, Toru Takemitsu, Rick James and Tan Dun.
I am however on this site to experience new things so what's the most interesting here is what new things from all corners of the world you might introduce me to!
And btw,
"I am the heaven
I am the water
Ich bin der Dreck unter deinen Walzen
..."
I guess that attitude carries over to my choices of movies and books as well. I tend however to get rather emotionally involved so serious and painful pieces require their space... :-)
Transporter 2 requires less.
If, however, I was allowed to see only one movie over and over again I would choose "Forest Gump" as it, in addition of being such a great movie, covers so many genres and moods in one.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I guess learning how to walk and speak must race in on first place here.
Teach, Learn, Share
Hmm... I guess I could teach some math and physics if anyone asked me for it. :-)
Well, that is usually not the best pick-up line so I better mention that I play percussion and drums and have a couple of hand drums as well. And some basic guitar and piano skills could be shared.
Juggling and Swedish are included in all offers.
I would above all like to learn how to dance salsa/bachata/tango, to sing and to cook both better and new dishes!
