PHILOSOPHY
The things you do, you do it properly. Sure, I might not be absolutist about it, but when I decided what I wanted to do with my life (i.e. pursue a career in conducting), I didn't want to do it half way, I wanted to aim high, and that is what I am currently doing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Most often found tagging along the wonderful Frederikke (Lavy) when she is hosting. Frequently cooking dinner for hungry surfers and generally being a sort of co-host.
Interests
Almost entirely focused on my studies, with classical music (or rather, music from the romantic era to neoclassicism, Beethoven-Stravinsky) in the center of it all. I also play percussion on the side, frequenting local amateur concert bands and orchestras when time allows. I also have an interest in society and politics, but more as an observer and listener, rather than a participator. That is mainly because I dislike, and generally try to avoid having, uninformed opinions.

Music, Movies, and Books
Bach, Händel, Beethoven, Brahms, Svendsen, Wagner, Mahler, Stravinsky... Are all highlights of an interest in music that starts around the year 1500, and hasn't ended yet. My core preference is the romantic era, but I am also open for new (contemporary classical) music, and the multitudes of ways it expresses itself these days.
Give me Nordic Noir, BSG or anything with Martin Freeman in it, and I'll be a happy man.
Not doing alot of reading these days, or rather, all my books only have a lot of dots on lines and a few words of italian, occasionally german, in them.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Keeping this one open for future possibilities.
