ABOUT ME

I am a creative person adopted by engineers and liking it! I am a daydreamer, a panda lover and a nerd. I love cooking and especially cooking for people and with people. trying new tastes and mixing cultural experiences. I am independent. I started traveling alone when I was 14 and haven't stopped ever since. I love walking in cities and getting lost, finding hidden spots and meeting different kind of people. I am intolerant to milk and sometimes I don't make much sense. I enjoy the silence of the night and of nature. I am a sea person. I could stare at the ocean for hours and never get tired. It makes me calm inside. I have been a paper shopping bag designer. I have been in Athletic for 15 years but I don't compete anymore. I am a compulsive list maker. I like: eating well, nice people to talk to all night, traveling, reading, doing yoga, dance like crazy when nobody can see me, give and receive hugs, tea, drawing and paining with my hands, laughing hard until you get tears and your cheeks hurt. I don't like: coffee powder in the sink, empty plastic bottles in the fridge, cold mornings, cutting onions, spiders, the color yellow, sitting too much in front of the computer, cheesy movies or books, tomatoes, small crowded-packed places, reality shows on tv, pushy people.
I could go on, but I am afraid you'll have to discover the rest yourself!

PHILOSOPHY

Embrace the moment and when things seems like getting out of control, remember to slow down and breathe. Be open to change, be like water.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to the couch surfing community and I don't have a couch to offer at the moment. I will use the couch surf especially for getting to know people and places better, now that I am moving to US.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't have any direct couch surfing experience yet, but I have heard much about it and been in contact with several people that do it. Needless to say that I can't wait to start!

Interests

Reading all sort of things. Going to second hands bookstores and finding old editions of classic literature or unknown novels. Cooking. Doing sports, especially running, swimming, climbing and contact improvisation. I am fascinated by old civilizations. I am interested in science in general and technological progress. Architecture is another thing that I like to be informed about, especially contemporary architecture. I am fascinated by how cities evolves and by consequences our lifestyle.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite book is Silk from Alessandro Baricco. Right after that comes Alice in Wonderland. Among my favorite authors are: Poe, Verne, Wilde, Hesse, Kundera, Adams, Moravia, Munari, Aristotle. I appreciate Swedish literature and recently got to know Japanese literature which I find particularly interesting. The list goes on, I love reading in general.
I like watching movies, but I am not a big expert and I am far behind in my watching list. But I like animation movies, comedies and dramas. I don't particularly like horror, zombies, dooms-day movies. I really can't get excited about them! As tradition since I was little, every year before Christmas, I watch The nightmare before Christmas, from Tim Burton.
