I am in Couchsurfing because I believe that one can make much more out of meeting new people and sharing experiences, rather than simple monetary exchanges

Don’t even get me started on this.... I’ll give a couple of examples for each one

Books: Isaac Asimov, Jack Kerouac and Guy Standing
Music: well, my favourites playlist in Spotify contains thousands of songs ranging from Pavarotti to Pearl Jam and Popof... so yeah, I’m quite varied.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At 23, I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Mexican Consulate in San Antonio, Texas. This experience changed my life by opening my eyes to the harsh reality of the human experience. It was hard for myself as well. My visa was at the brink of expiration and I was living in a house -not in the best conditions- with other 10 people. Most of them undocumented or refugees. However, more than my roommates, they became my family. I not only lived the immigrant experience firsthand, but learnt a powerful lesson of humility.
