About Me

ABOUT ME

I love coffee! I don´t know when exactly the passion for it started, but I know for sure that it greatly developed while I was studying at UWC Mahindra College of India. Living with people from all around the world (yes, including the „coffee countries“ :)!) I got to have lots of conversations with interesting people over good coffee. I´m not an expert though. As Thomas Tracy would say – I just know when it tastes good to me. I spent two years studying at UWC living on a beautiful though a little bit isolated hill in Western Ghats in India. I fell in love with the country. Having a dream to become a member of the Doctors Without Borders, after graduation in India I decided to study medicine in my country, the Czech Republic. Therefore, currently I´m living in Prague.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to enjoy and be satisfied with what I do in my life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I´m open to read whatever comes to me, but fantasy, sci-fi and horror books are not my cup of tea. I love Jack Kerouac´s books (On the Road and The Subterraneans in particular), I really enjoy books written by J.D. Salinger, W. Saroyan, Boris Vian!!, Milan Kundera, Coetzee (Michael K., Disgrace), Haruka Murakami. There was a time when I was so impressed with Charles Baudelaire.

Great Gatsby

A personal matter
Crime and Punishment
Anna Karenina

Music I listen to depends on the mood I´m in. I enjoy jazz, blues and electro-swing in particular.I would never refuse to listen to Parov Stelar (the music always makes me feel good). I like Nina Simone, Duke Ellington, Nouvelle Vague, Zaz, Hindi Zahra, Kryštof, Zrní...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Krkonoše, the highest mountains in the Czech Republic, mean a lot to me. One of my great memories is when my friends and I climbed up the highest mountain in the Czech Republic, Sněžka, quite late in the evening when there was almost no one else. The mountains were ours for the moment. Incredible!
