About Me

I am italian, since I was 17 I have lived in the UK, and absolutely loved it.
Right now I'm in what I call fUNemployment, I have spent 6 months i South America - here are some photos in a dry catalogue-like way http://backtrackingsouthamerica.tumblr.com (guess I'm not really what you'd call creative) - and now I'm back in Europe, trying to decide what to do with the rest of my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Coming from a city often snobbed by tourists but actually full of interesting sights, monuments and art, I know that the best way to fully experience a place is meeting someone who lives there. I am interested in how people live in a country different from mine, their daily habits and their persepctive on their country. Because of the effort, not only in terms of organisation, that couchsurfing requires on both sides, you will not get a message from me if I am just looking for a place to stay.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I listen to a wide variety of music, from rock to electronic, baiscally give me anything but commercial music and I'm happy! I love alt-j, the lumineers, the xx, Bondax, Discolsure and Ben Howard.
Books: I LOVE reading and really enjoy the feeling of having a book in my hands so you'll probably see me travelling with and extra bag which mostly contains books (yes, I know kindle is a great thing). My favourites right now are David Foster Wallace's essays, one flew over the cuckoo's nest, the teleportation accident.
Movies: I enjoy watching documentaries: chasing ice, dirty wars, food inc..anything that makes me think. I also love psychological thrillers: memento, shutter island, gone girl. My favourite movie is probably american beauty. I am addicted to Sherlock and Orange is the New Black, they're my guilty pleasures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Walked the whole Torres del Paine circuit in Chile on my own.
- Enjoyed Oruro carnival with a great CS group

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some italian and french, the one german word I know, how ride a horse and to drive a boat :)
I am horribly curious, I will ask you about politics and all the things that people think shouldn't be discussed, but I reckon they're the conversations from which we gain the most.
