ABOUT ME

Hi there!

My name is Elmer and I'm a twenty-one year old guy from the northern parts of Sweden. I'm about halfway through my studies to become a high-school teacher in maths and physics, but have decided to take a year off to work, travel and try new hobbies before I finish my education.

As a person I'm calm and orderly and seem to get along well with most people. I enjoy interesting conversations and love to share stories and experiences with other travelers.

During the last two months of 2014 I will leave for my first solo-trip to New York. From there the plan is to travel southward along the east-coast and visit cities and national parks along the way. I'd also like to visit Peru and/or Ecuador for a few weeks before I return home to the cold and snowy Sweden!

PHILOSOPHY

For me life is all about learning and experiences, and traveling seems to be one of the best ways to achieve that! I am scientifically minded and find it truly amazing that mankind has managed to gather so much knowledge about ourselves, our origins and the world around us. One of my main goals in life is to understand the world well enough so that I can effectively teach others about it, but also not forget that there's more to life than just physics and randomness and get out there and experience it!

On my spare-time I enjoy wildlife and hiking, playing the drums with or without my band, reading and learning about new things, technology/computers and working out at the local gym.
