About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Making the most of it

ABOUT ME

Calm, interested, open-minded, active.

I love talking to people who have a different point of view than I do. I love seeing other cities and imagining what it's like to live there. My particular interests include literature, art, history, food, music and nature (hiking is an absolute favourite).

PHILOSOPHY

I like Epicurus.

"You don't develop courage by being happy in your relationships everyday. You develop it by surviving difficult times and challenging adversity."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been couchsurfing in Israel which was an awesome experience. It's a complicated country so it was good to meet some real people and get a look behind the scenes for a while.

Since I'm currently living in Scotland in student accommodation, I can only host when I'm staying with my mum during vacations - far out in the wop-wops of Denmark.

Interests

Culture, literature, architecture, languages, local cuisine, politics, but most of all people (how they talk, how they act, how they think - and why).

Music, Movies, and Books

Classical literature, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Terry Pratchett, Milan Kundera, Neil Gaiman, Göran Tunström, Tomas Tranströmer, etc. The list is endless.

I mostly listen to jazz or classical music on the radio but also enjoy Vampire Weekend, Arctic Monkeys, Paolo Nutini, The Smiths and The National.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One?? This calls for a long conversation.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can play the violin and an ancient Chinese board game called "go". Mostly I'd just contribute books and TV shows though.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Nepal, Netherlands, Norway, Palestine, Scotland, Sweden, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In

Denmark, United Kingdom
