About Me

Holy Guacamole, I'm Viv, 24 years on this planet, a 159cm small human, born in Germany, now living in New Zealand.

I studied Psychology in Berlin, finished my Bachelor yaaay and then said goodbye to friends and family to see the world. It’s been almost 2 years now that I’m living and travelling around Oceania and Asia together with my best friend/sister/soulmate Jeani (you can also find her on Couchsurfing: Norma-Jean Leh).
A lot has changed, but about some things I’m pretty sure: I still love drinking good coffee ☕️, if I could I would add avocado 🥑 to anything, peanut ice cream 🍦 and papaya is my favourite food and my techno affinity changed to a big heart for psytrance festivals in the bush. My friends and travel buddies would say I’m mostly weird, but also funny, spontaneous and open-minded. I love adventures and adventurous cooking, and I like spoiling people with vegan goodies. I bought an Ukulele and a Djembe in Indonesia, now I need to find someone who can teach me some ☺️

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a great place to share your kindness and openness for other people. Both sides hosts and guests can benefit from a short interaction. So far I mostly used Couchsurfing in other countries, being a guest and enjoying the hospitality of others. Finally I got my own place, and I would love to share it with other people, spreading more happiness and love, yay! 😁

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m open for any kind of music, I just recently figured out I could even listen to country music, if it’s one or two songs haha. I really enjoy creative minds, that produce a great vibe with instruments, voice or electronic sounds. Since I’m travelling my music taste became more international. Some of my favourite artists in my recent playlist: Sol, Little Simz, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Loyle Carner, Julia and Angus Stone, Sticky Fingers, Katchafire, Fat Freddie’s Drop, James Hersey, and any Drum’n’Bass, Psytrance, Highlight Tribe Playlists on Spotify.

If I can find time to read, I’m currently into Organic Gardening, Permaculture, and the magic of Plants 🌱 my all time Favoriten though is Momo, written by Michael Ende and Walden (Thoreau).

You might not believe t but I really enjoy watching anime’s, I’m just waiting for the new season of my hero academia, still trying to finish Food Wars and started watching Avatar again. I’m always open for mind blowing, mysterious series and movies. I really enjoyed watching Vikings, Sense 8, Orphan Black and Waking Life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living for one month in Indonesia just using Couchsurfing. Going to a rainbow gathering and living in the jungle. Visiting schools in Taiwan to share stories and music.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning about stars, planets, plants, animals, the mind and body.
I’m doing acro yoga together with Jeani, my roommate, we definitely could teach some basics but would also love to improve.
Firespinning with pois or a staff, still one of my dreams, and one day there will be someone, maybe it’s you, who can teach me.
Still not able to meditate properly, maybe you have the key and can help me. In any case, I believe everyone has something to share, knows something new I haven’t heard of before. Let’s see 😊

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share some good yarns, funny stories, a little bit of Ukulele and if you have a kitchen, I hope I can cook some delicious vegan food for you.
