About Me

After 7 months, I've finally finished my backpack trip and I came back to Brazil. I'm so grateful for all people that have hosted me, even at the last minute. Couchsurfing is exchange, is caring, more than a just free home.

Hi everyone there! I am Anna, a 23 year old girl, trying to explore this big world. I love travelling, meeting new people and learning about all the different cultures. Unfortunately, I am home ( for limitated time) for studies . I would prefer be travelling but that's the life, right?

At the moment, I can't host anyone because I really don't know when I will be home or not ( work reasons) but I would love to meet you guys. If you are coming to my beautiful city, just send me a message and I will see if i can meet you.

If you are in trouble, and need a place at the last minute, I can see if its possible.

My beloved gringos, please don't be so dumb. Rio is amazing, a beautiful city, I am sure you guys will be surprised how lovely the people are, buuuuuut it's a dangerous city too. So here goes some survival tips to walk around Rio.

- Don't leave your things at the beach if dont have someone to watch it. If you do that, its possible you will not find it anymore. If you are alone, ask for a family to watch it and enjoy the water.

- Don't walk around Rio alone late of the night. Ask for some uber or taxi ( I would prefer uber because of the fixed prices. So they can't rise the price for you guys)

- If you are not in group, use your phone or camera but pay attetion on it because someone can steal you. ( Its sad, I know but It can happen).

- Phone inside pockets ?? No way ! It must go inside your clothes.

- Always leave your bags and wallets on a place you can see.

The turistic area have a lot of policiment butt Its always nice be carefull. If you are a real traveller and you are going out of this area, follow this advices. You don't want to be stolen, right? Try always to talk with local people, we are amazing (it includes me haha ). We will probably recommend you some really nice places and tell you where is dangerous and where is safe. Most of brazilians don't speak english, if you learn some worlds in portuguese It will help you for sure.

WE SPEAK PORTUGUESE, NOT SPANISH. Is it similar? Yes! But its not the same and its quite difficult understand too. If you speak slowly slowly, maybe we understand it, but we will do a lot of mimic to answer 😋😋

Ah ! We don't do top-less at the beach ( I am not sure it's forbidden) but yes, we don't do that.

It's always nice to say: RESPEITA AS MINAS (Respect the girls).

I hope I have helped with my advices.

Have a nice trip guys! Enjoy my beautiful country !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It’s relative . But for sure my best memories are my backpacking trip around Europe (2019)

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn about the different cultures and behavior of the people , so for sure I will ask you a lot of things about your culture, your believes and your life. It’s incredible how different are the culture, so something is really horrible for me can be really normal for some of you. I think it’s the best way to open your mind and grow up as human being .
