I am currently moving around in Hungary and pursuing citizenship here. I have done the Workaway program five times, teaching English and doing labour. I am working on a new book of essays about Hungary - my impressions, experiences and thoughts. I have become a nomad somewhat against my inclinations, because I am a person who loves having a real abode.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Occasionally, I need a place to lay my head and friends have recommended Couchsurfing. I enjoy meeting people, but I also know how to give them space if I am staying in their home. I do not have the option of offering a place right now, but when I get settled somewhere, I would love to host travellers.

Interests

Walking, deep talks, animals, Medieval Britain, old castles, history of England, Scotland, Wales mostly, yoga and philosophies of life, cooking, singing and music.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music depends on my mood. Not usually Rock or loud stuff unless the occasion calls for it. Classical, New Age, Jazz, World Music, anything unusual and pretty or intriguing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Actually finished two books (one split into two): Gimme the Song o' the Pipes! Crazy American Lady Tours Historical Scotland; and Crazy American Lady's History Tour of England and Wales, both on Amazon Kindle.
