About Me

Mexican girl living in the south of France. With former studies in English literature, I left my life to go to the good ol' continent.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For the moment my life is a little bit chaotic (living wise) I haven't been traveling that often and working by seasons implies not having a place of your own. Will keep you updated.

Interests

My main interests are food, languages, literature and politics. Also I like hiking, and being in touch with nature.

Music, Movies, and Books

music: I can listen to anything really, but what I really love is jazz, reggae, hip-hop and sort of those things. Although you could find every genre in my iPod, I can be versatile.
movies: i can watch a chick flick if i'm on a "just want to chill and eat my pizza on a sunday" or get into different appreciation. My favourites are Elephant, Requiem for a Dream, Dreams of Akira Kurosawa, Lost in Translation, Goodbye Lenin!, Soul Kitchen, Bird People, and so many others.
books: i enjoy good poetry, mostly hispanic but of course i can get going. i love Alejandra Pizarnik; i like Rosario Catellanos, Alfonsina Storni, Julia Prilutzky, Pablo Neruda, Sylvia Plath, Antonio Machado, Wislawa Szymbroska, Anne Sexton, Charles Bukowski, Julio Cortázar and well books specifically i would say Delirium by Laura Restrepo, The Magic Skin by Balzac, The Nausea by Sartre and Fear by Maupassant, among many others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Live

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to cook and bake, I can teach you some Mexican recipes. I can teach you Spanish and English as well as sharing my favourite books and poems with you.
I want to keep learning languages so every single one is welcome. I'm getting addicted to learning languages now. Share your books, your food, and your music with me. In other words I love learning from all the cultures I can't get my hands on.
