About Me

ABOUT ME

I just came back from my exchange year in Groningen, the Netherlands and am settling back into here Oldenburg, Germany where I studied before and will continue now.

Always trying to figure out the whole work-life balance thing and how to not sweat the small stuff :)

Interests

I really enjoy spending time with friends, cooking and going to poetry slams, doing improv comedy and yoga. I am always in for discussing political or philosophical topics and I am fascinated by the human nature in general. Plus I love talking about the things that really matter, whatever that is to you.
And I definitely need my downtime, meditating, reading and I try to sleep early. And be outside, preferably in nature close to water.

Music, Movies, and Books

My absolute alltime favorite book is The Perks of Being a Wallflower and other good ones include The Night Circus, Daring Greatly and anything by Marc-Uwe Kling. And of course Harry Potter!
I recently watched Citizenfour and loved it. (Recently as in two years ago :D ) A documentary I actually watched recently would be Cowspiracy.
As for podcasts my latest favorite medium, I adore Death, Sex and Money; the WANTcast and Dear Sugar Radio.
Ans musically I am really into Annenmaykantereit and Simple Plan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A couple of friends of mine and I organized a so called "Disco Soup" or "Schnippeldisko" in German, where we collected food donations that weren't pretty enough to be sold from supermarkets and farmers and cooked a meal for 300 people, accompanied by a DJ and two livebands in the evening. The whole thing was a cultural and fun protest against unnecessary food waste.
