About Me

CURRENT MISSION

After finishing school , I worked and did an Interrailtrip (roundtrip by train&backpack) through Southeasterneurope for two months with a friend of mine. It was just amazing. Then I did a roundtrip in Brazil and after this, I went back to my second homecountry Canada (Québec) for two months . After traveling a bit in Ireland and England I finally thought it would be a good idea to go back to a normal life , so I started to work as a pastry Chef (a wonderful Job with the opportunity to work all over the world) . So after finishing my apprenticeship, I went back traveling through Mauritius and Is Réunion and then moved to Barcelona for work. I got a very nice job offer in Netherlands so that I couldn't help myself and leaving amazing Barcelona to move to a ery small village in Holland.... Leaving Barcelona was super hard, but I'm living close to an Airport so that I can go back anytime :)

Now I'll quit my job in June to go to Columbia for 2 months to learn how to grow cacao, what the social problems are to fight against to keep a fairtrade cacao and doing pastry workshops with cacaofarmers children and women etc. because I want to change my carreer and work in the cacao industry. In september I'm going to study International business and management with sustainability to come much closer to that goal.

ABOUT ME

Well I guess I'm pretty openminded, quite talkactive, always ready to explore new things and meet new interesting People from all over the world. When I'm not traveling or working or bakeing , I love to spend some time with my Family and friends for having fun, talking ,partying etc. Some people do also call me a little crazy, which might be not that wrong :)

Philosophie

Just give me a backpack, cake and some amazing people to hang out with and my life is perfect.
I never want to regret NOT having done something I really desire for and never want to tell the younger generation: "I whish I would have done what you did when I was younger..." But: "Amazing what you are doing, I also did amazing things in my life"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Problaby I got this couchsurfing thing in my blood because my parents always tooked us in our camping car to amazing places all over Europe in our vacation when I was young. (Wild) camping and just enjoying life in a simple and basic way, taking the shower in public swimming pool or just stopping anywhere on the road to buy food from people selling it on the street etc etc.. I love my parents for having raised me like that!

I enjoyed couchsurfing in Slovenia, Istanbul, Croatia Brazil, Ireland and England, Israel and I surfed a lot on my friends couches from all over the world, who I got to know during my trips and during my highschoolyear in Québec.
It's just the best way to get to know the country by couchsurfing as you get to know openminded locals!
There are not too many couchsurfers who wanted to visit the beautiful, but small town(s) of Oldenburg or Osnabrück, but still there were some :D I really enjoyed hosting and hope to be able to keep on hosting;) Anyways if you're in that corner just come around ;) In Barcelona hosting people was quite fun! I lived in a veeeery crazy flat and hosts were always welcome. sometimes we hadn't even space to walk in my room because of all the matresses on the floor hahah :D
Now, living on the countryside in the Netherlands hosting became once again a more difficult thing, because no one really comes arround in that corner... :D

Interests

travelling, bakeing, hiking, horsebackriding, beeing active in general, sports such as running, swimming and biking(also an amazing way to discover places because on a bike you can experient them so much better)
speaking/learning languages, listening&talking to people to learn more about cultures/different lifestyles and to learn for myself for that my "horizon" keeps on growing and to know better what I really want and what I do not want for my life :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in Québec in a family and Barcelona (in my "piso loco" a flat of 7people crazy as hell), Visiting the Basiliuscathedral in Moscow- hiking through Israel , Ia Réunion, Mauritius- seing the paradise beaches/lagoons there -or swimming by night in Brasil seeing a plankton firework under water and at the same time countless stars in the sky, sleeping outside during my interrail trip and living like a real vagabond during this time, comparing every yoghurt you can find one 2 cents cheaper that the other, dancing the night away at beach partys....etc etc etc... But also going through difficult situations in life and finding a solution for them because it let me grow so much faster than any positive experience.
I cannot really decide what was "the one" amazing thing I've done but let's summerize all those amazing things with the word "traveling".

Of course there are many other amazing things I've done, cause life is just amazing. So if you're interested in my stories of my (until now) short life just host me or come surfing on my couch and listen to them :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I share everything I have, except for my toothbrush :D

Well I guess I still have to learn a lot so Id like to learn everything which is important for life :)

Given that I spent one year in Quebec, the french part of Canada, I could teach a little French or for French people, I could teach them how to speak the most beautiful french accent ever :D (no just kidding I know how proud you french guys are on your accent but I really love the Quebecois accent :) )

Also I Could teach you some Spanish or meanwhile also some dutch which is such a funny language to me :D
