I'm an astronomy student from the Netherlands currently residing in Santiago, Chile to finish my Master's research. The reason I am here is because Chile is an enormously diverse and beautiful country with nature varying from hypnotizingly arid deserts in the north to unbelievably lush forests and lakes in the south. Especially the north is interests me, since there are a number of observatories in this region, one of which I hope to visit for my research.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I've only seriously been on Couchsurfing since my arrival in Chile, Together with my room mates Katie, Ronald and Eric (see Home tab for more info) we've opened our house to Couchsurfers and so far it has been a great experience!

Couchsurfing offers travelers a great way to meet like-minded people and immerse themselves in the local society and culture. For this reason, and the fact that we have a kick-ass fire pit and pool in the backyard, I think it's almost our duty to open our house to couchsurfers.
