Hello, my name is Austra and I'm from small country in Europe - Latvia!

I live and work in Riga, sing in choir Juventus (No, it's not related to football team. :) ) Between work, choir, spending time with family, friends and daily life, I share passion of traveling - love exploring new places, meeting new people, talking with them, hearing their stories. I'm very open-minded, always ready to hear some new ideas, opinions! :)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

When I was younger I stayed with lot of host families around Europe while traveling with my choir and really enjoyed it. When I left this choir, I heard about CS and now I'm here, because I want to find out more about countries and places with help from local people. I like to share some culture exchange, share stories and make new friends and memories. Good conversations over dinner is always a good idea. In my opinion, CS is amazing way to do that!

I watch TV series quite often, my favorites right now is Orange is The New Black, The Morning Show, West World, The Handmaid's tale. Also I like The Good Place, American Horror Story, How I met your father, Snowpiercer, Bridgerton and many more.

I really like Harry Potter - books and movies. When I was little, I even went to Harry Potter summer camps! :)

Hitchhiked, couchsurfed and volunteer around Europe with my boyfriend Mārtiņš for 5 months
Sang in biggest Song and Dance Festival in Latvia with more then 30 000 participants (several times).
