Hello, friends!

I am a student in the Dutch city of Maastricht - a small but cosy city in the south of the Netherlands. Though I have been living in Maastricht for 6 years now, my home town is Tauranga, New Zealand. After living there for 11 years I came back to the Netherlands to study.

I play volleyball (badly), and love being outside. When possible, my boyfriend Ruben and I like to go hiking. One of our favourite trips so far was hiking in the Bulgarian Mountains! I enjoy talking to people and trying to understand different cultures and backgrounds. Aside from all that I enjoy watching trashy tv to unwind, and if I have the time then reading a good book.

When travelling, I like to be active and see new things. I don't think I've ever been to the same place twice. Most of the time when I travel with Ruben we book our flights only, and then book hostels/airbnb/couchsurf where our trip takes us. When you're hosting me/us, we'll probably be off exploring most of the day - but in the evenings I would love to chat over a glass of wine!
