About Me

I have just graduated as a teacher after 6 yaers of university.

Things what I like.... People who can tell stories with a good sense of humour, all kinds of kids (they don't even need to be funny, they are cool anyway), old buildings, green landscapes, interesting debates, long train routes, arts, weird thoughts.

In the more valuabe part of my life I work with disadvantaged (and as I have mentioned before, obviously super cool) kids in one of the poorest areas of Hungary, and beside many interesting projects I try to motivate them to read (basically anything).

I spend the rest (most) of my life in Budapest, in this completely amazing city. You should come here to see! In these part I do things like normal people do, I even have a real job and some friends to share my free time with.

I am a good listener, especially if I meet interesting people. I would love if you could answer my 20 million questions about the history and culture of the city where you live.

Ops, I forgot that I am amazed by all kinds of animals too, especially the small ones.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is a great opportunity for travelers who try not only to go somewhere and see as many touristic attractions in 3 days as it's possible, but also want to understand how is the life in the city, where local people go or how do they feel about their environment. Sometimes you can understand a city more after talking to a local for 2 hours than if you just run up and down for 2 weeks. I don't have very many couchsurfing experiences, but all of the ones I had were very positive.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like soo many kinds of music, I haven't engaged myself with one genre. I started my music life with Beethoven and Schubert (I played the cello in a music school for many years), and I am quite sure that after 60 years at the age of 84 I want to sit next to my fireplace, reading Tolstoi and listening to Beethoven.... but until then there are so many things to happen in my music life that I don't want to write down some names. I know this is not an answer. I could give a similar one to the movie or book question.....I just can't give a proper answer, sorry.

Teach, Learn, Share

As I will be a Hungarian teacher, I am one of the most competent people to teach you funny Hungarian words. The only problem is that I usually just teach nice ones, so you need to go for the swear words to somebody else :/. My cooking competences are not on a very high level but I can still teach you to cook some traditional Hungarian food, and if you come to Budapest I can always explain you why this city is soo amazing if you wouldn't recognize it by yourself.
