About Me

Hi there!
I´m Carla, I am 22 years old and a Psychology Student. I love my subject, but I can´t spent the whole year in the library between books that are heavier than me (almost 😉) and talking about mental deseases. So, luckily besides studying there is always time to travel.
After finishing school I`ve been volunteering one year in Tunja in Colombia in a public school and I really enjoyed speaking spanish, being with the students exploring the country with locals.
This spring-holiday I went back to Latin-America with a good friend to visit friends in Chile and Bolivia.
Of course, traveling to far-away-countries ist amazing, but exploring the own neighbourhood is fun, too. So last summer I went hichhiking with a good friend of mine and we visited friends in Saxony and Bavaria.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like couchsurfing a lot, because you can meet people with diverse backgrounds and stories. At university sometimes I have the feeling, that I am just talking to people with similar age, similar problems, similar interests and the same sex (the typical psychology student). I am always glad to get out of that "bubble".

Interests

I love music, espacially rock like the Police, Radiohead, Franz Ferdinand, Billy Talent, System of a Down and Mando Diao.
I really enjoy going to concerts ( I love listening to everything that makes noise! ) and talking about music.
Currently I´m learing to play classic guitar by watching youtube videos.
I am participating in the "foodsharing-program". That´s a platform for distributing food. For instance: If you have too many appels at home (because you have an apple tree and the harvest was good) and you don`t know what to do with all the apples, you post a picture and ask the other foodshares to pick some apple up at your home, so you don´t have to throw them away. This is a bad example, I`am sorry, but I´am sure you got the idea of foodsharing.
My task as a „foodsaver“ is to pick up food from supermarkets, that would have been thrown away-but it is still good!
In my free time I enjoy hiking, swimming in the Lake of Constance and doing sports (running, rowing) and meeting friends.
