About Me

I really like traveling. I've visited 15 countries so far and my favorite destination is USA. I was born and raised in Istanbul but moved to a small resort town in the southwestern Turkey around two years ago. I translate literary books from French and English to Turkish for a living. I really love where I live and I love working from home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe the best thing about traveling is getting to know the locals. Couchsurfing is a perfect way to meet up with the local people and have a firsthand experience of what their lives are like.

Interests

Music is a big part of my life. I love going to concerts. I used to play bass in amateur rock bands while in high school and college.

Music, Movies, and Books

My all time favorite band is Metallica. I saw them live four times in Istanbul. But I have a pretty eclectic music taste. I listen to all kinds of music from Marshmello to the Used.

My all time favorite movie is Dances with Wolves. I was probably around 6 years old when I first saw it in theatre. And I got hooked on the Native American culture since then.

I'm really into self-help literature. I'm a big Stephen Covey fan. Seven Habits changed my life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once attended a live taping of Conan (O'Brien). Out of all the things I did during my Los Angeles visit in 2016, being a Conan audience member stood out tremendously!

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Bulgaria, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Netherlands, Oman, Qatar, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United States
