Overview
About Me
21 years old
Girl
Hometown; St-Nazaire d'Acton(little village in Quebec, Canada)
Specialized in Fine Arts before University, then almost completely lost interest in the field for a couple years...
Studied 1 ½ year in Teaching English as a Second Language(TESL) before dropping out of Uni.
Worked 60-80h for the past year on a chicken/turkey farm, before burning out, which lead me to doubting a lot of the moves I made over the years, and the lead me here, in California, to sort my head out before...
Going back to school in the Fall to study Farming Technology and Management.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Backpacking for a month. Not a lot of resources, but needing to do something for myself, to see what's out there, in order to close the burnout chapter, and start the fulfillment chapter of my life.
I've been working and studying for the past 7-8 years, and I have only ever taken 10 days off to visit France and England; in an organized school trip.
After working 60-80h/week for the past year, I feel, more than ever, it's time for me to step out and see what else is out there before I get back to schooling in the Fall.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorites?
Punk-rock(though I listen to pretty much anything other than EDM)
Green Day(definitely my favorite band!)
High Strung(the last movie that really struck me... but I also loved Guardians of the Galaxie 2; I don't really watch movies/tv much, I'm more of a music fan)
Final Target (Iris Johansen); first book I ever read more than once, I love reading, though I don't do it as much as I used to. I tend to choose reading over sleeping when I enjoy a book, and it's not so great for my health, as sleeping is a pretty important part of health).
Last read; The Bird and the Sword-Amy Harmon
Last movie; Rewatched; The Mortals Instruments-City if Bones on my flight to California(only movie I had on my phone)
Latest musical discovery; Shoreline (Andrew James). There's so much more than that one actually, but I tend to download a bunch of playlists on Spotify and not really pay attention as to what they are when they play, as long as I enjoy them)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Shaved my head 4 times since I'm 14 to raise funds/awareness for cancer.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've spoken French my whole life. I can probably teach you a word or two!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Having worked and studied most of my life, I don't feel like I have much to share with the world, except from where I came from, and what I'm aiming for in the future. I've bought a guitar a couple weeks ago, and I'm trying to learn a few chords/songs, in the few free hours I have.
I've been known to be a good listener/to have good insight... Sometimes, opening up to someone that you likely won't ever see again may very well help in making hard decisions.
Countries I’ve Visited
England, France, United Kingdom, United States
