After a couple of years of a normal life, which I lived in Taipei, I am not starting my travel life again.
First I will focus on East Africa.

Exploring the world one country at the time. I work as an English teacher when I find a place that is cool enough to hang out for a year or so and this is how a try to conquer, er, explore the world.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm currently traveling so I'm using couch surfing to connect with people in the places I'm going. I'd like to join events and hopefully find people who can host me so I can have a look into the lives of people and see what it's like to live in that city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met lots of cool couch surfers and been to a couple of cs events. They have managed to peak my interest.
I have hosted people in Taipei and I surfed in Tokyo and went to some couch surfing events to meet other interesting people.
I've since done some couchsurfing around Europe and did a lot of meet ups in South America.

Interessen

Started travelling almost 20 years ago and got truly bitten by the travel bug. I spent the majority of those 2 decades abroad and managed to see some of the coolest spots in the world and met colourful and inspirational people from all corners of the world.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

As far as movies go I'll watch just about anything. Lately the only books I read are lonely planets. Pretty mainstream when it comes to music, but I can listen the a wide variety of things.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

active volcano's with flowing lava, diving with whale sharks, sunrise at Uluru, bungy jumping, drinking a shot containing a still beating but severed snake heart, riding on elephants, climbing Mayan ruins, chilling on some breathtaking beaches, partying in some of the most insane clubs to give an impression of what keeps me going. Became a beer mile champion and to keep things interesting and I ran a 50km ultra marathon. I (illegaly) camped on the great wall of China. Hiked around the Annapurna circuit in the Himalayans and did the Camino de Santiago.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I can teach English or practice other languages with you. I'm also very fond of learning new languages so maybe I can learn some useful words and phrases in your language.

Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann

I'm passionate about traveling and can spend hours talking about this. So maybe I teach you some tricks for your next destination or give travel advice if I have already visited the country.
I've worked as an English teacher for a couple of years so I'd be happy to practice English with my hosts.
I'm a pretty active so if you need a work out buddy I could be that guy. If you're into running I'd love to go for a run with you or I could give you some coaching if you're a beginning runner or training for an endurance run.
