Couchsurfing connects travelers and stay at home travelers. It doesn't matter where you are in the world, you can always meet someone who is traveling. Sometimes it is for a nice walk trough town, a cool party, a warm bonfire on the beach with locals and travelers and sometimes you just go on a little tour with new friends.
