ABOUT ME
I'm Gianni and I currently live in Bruges, the place where I was born. But although Bruges is a beautiful city, that doesn't hold me back on stepping on a train or plane to see the world myself. That's also the reason why I'm on CS, to travel and host people from everywhere. As a student I studied Tourism, so even in daily business I'm busy with travelling. Now that I'm graduated, I work in hospitality and save for my next travels. But when I'm in my hometown I spend time on playing guitar and singing, working, enjoying all the good gastronomy and beers that Belgium has to offer and basically with all my other interests. So now you know a little bit more about who I am ☺
PHILOSOPHY
For me personal it's all about enjoying every day as much as you can. Every new day is a fantastic gift, where we can do and share new things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To find places to stay and meet cool people when I travel . But ofcourse also to show other travellers the nice places or host them in my own beautiful city and have a good time with them. The budget is the main thing that holds people back from travelling and that's a shame actually, because everybody should be able to travel. That's why couchsurfing is so great, travelling for less money and get to know the real local people.

Music, Movies, and Books
I can appreciate almost all genres, but Johnny Cash, Guns N' Roses and the other old school stuff are my favorites.
I like the films of Martin Scorcese, Tarantino, Christopher Nolan. But also classics like The Godfather, Scarface, Lord of The Rings, Star Wars,..
Mainly I like thrillers and mystery films.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was 9 years of age, me and a friend helped arresting a group of kidnappers with the police. True story!
Teach, Learn, Share
When people come to Bruges I like to show them around in this beautiful small city, but it can be a big labyrinth sometimes with all the streets and small, narrow alleys. Although getting lost in Bruges has its charm, it's never bad to have a local with you to discover all the nice spots. I like to share our gastronomy and yes, I'm afraid that includes Belgian waffles, chocolate, fries and beers. But I'm sure you don't mind that one do you? 😉
I can always suggest some off-the-beaten-track places, away from the busy touristy places if you want to escape the crowds for a minute.
And if you have some mutual interests, we can always share those interests and maybe learn some new ones right? If you play guitar as well, we can always have a little jam if you would like that ☺
What I Can Share with Hosts
A good time and a great experience in discovering Bruges. Not just to see Bruges, but to live Bruges.
