I'm a life-long learner currently wording as government official and starting my own weight consultant business. I live in Leiden, together with my husband and love the city center of Leiden, the green fields laying beyond Leiderdorp and the beaches of Katwijk and Noordwijk that are also close by. I'm very attached to this place, but would also love to travel and see new things!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

You can get to know a city best by immersing yourself in the normal way of life and speaking with inhabitants. Couchsurfing provides all that. I'd love to travel this way!

Interests

I love to read, though I seem to find little time for it lately because I'm too busy with korfball and my internship. Most of the time when I seem to be fidgeting around on the computer, I'm actually looking into things for my korfball club or for things having to do with sport participation in general, which is the field of human movement sciences that I did my master research project on.

Music, Movies, and Books

I generally don't listen to music, though I have some songs or artists I like (I'm not able to tell you the names, only to sing along if I hear it). I love movies such as Inception, Coach Carter, Pride and Prejudice and am currently watching several series including Outlander (love the books as well), Lie to me, Sherlock and Game of Thrones. My taste in books varies from time to time, but I can always enjoy fantasy, historic novels (that are somewhat historically accurate) and rereading childhood favourites by Enid Blyton or Thea Beckman.
