About Me
Hi there and welcome to my profile! My name is Dagmar and I am a passionate world-explorer. So far, I have visited four continents, but I am not planning on stopping there. My student life has been pretty crazy, studying in Amsterdam (NL) and Leeds (UK), and writing my thesis in Las Vegas (USA). Besides studying and working, I also did a LOT of traveling. I think Couchsurfing is a really cool platform and I have met so many wonderful people through here. From the first time using CS as a surfer when I was seventeen years old to now moving across oceans to be with someone I met at a CS meetup. How exciting life can be!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I made this Couchsurfing profile when a classmate and I went to London, at just seventeen years old. We found a lovely host, who helped us around the city, showing us all the nice places. I also hosted a variety of people myself, mostly in Amsterdam. Now, I use Couchsurfing sporadically to meet people around the world.
Interests
I love writing, listening to music, walking/hiking and of course traveling. Other languages and cultures are fascinating to me and I am always open to learning more about these. Also, of course, international food. Yum! I have recently stopped eating meat, but I am super interested in learning to cook with different foods and ingredients.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: alternative rock, but also a lot of pop lately. Muse, You me at six, Twin Atlantic, Mallory Knox, Fall out boy. Also love acoustic music and honestly, live music has my heart <3
Movies: I cannot sit down for too long, so I am not the biggest movie fan. But, I love space-themed movies like Interstellar, The Martian, Wall-E (haha). I don't like drama.
Books: The Martian had me laugh and cry all the way through. Jeffrey Archer, Harlan Coben & Jeffery Deaver are writers I find cool.
