Hey, I’m Helene! I’m from a small town in the middle of Sweden called Sala and I love this little cosy country town more than most places.

Otherwise I’m a huge fan of mountains (preferably next to a lake) and hiking on them, or hiking in generally to be honest. I usually sing in my car a lot and I love being lazy with a good TV serie. I think that dancing solves most problems and that my dog understands me when I talk to her. I always miss the countryside when I’m in a big town for too long. I’m a big reader and think that the book exchange system some hostels have is more than ingenious. I love being creative, making new friends and being adventurous.

I’m on Couchsurfing because it’s a great way to go places and meet people. I’m not able to host anyone right now, but who knows what the future holds?

I moved to Catania, Sicily in southern Italy, during the fall after I graduated from Senior High school. I didn’t know the language at all, probably never seen a cockroach before and it was the first time I was traveling on my own. I had so much fun there, it was amazing.
