Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The reason is very simple – people which I have chance to meet, talk, wander or just watch a TV.
People are also a great "shortcut" to the local culture – they can guide me or introduce me to places, events or traditions of locals.

The second reason is stories. I love listening other and I seek to hear people who can share with me their experience

Interests

I have a soul of an organiser – I cannot stop planning next trips, finding good connection or reading articles about others travels. This is my way of spending free time, relaxing or whatever – I feel really happy when I have chance to do it.

Another side of my interests is food. I absolutely love eating and discovering local dishes. In my case love to food is connected with passion to cooking. You know - if you can't find anything tasty to eat it may be easier to cook if for yourself and your friends. Since recent holidays I am in love with Thai cuisine – its flavours, simplicity and colours. I have a quite long project on my mind to learn how to prepare old polish meals and upgrade them with some Thai spices – we shall see if I manage to do it :)
I need to admit that I do not fully trust people who do not like food...

You may be surprised but from quite a long time I love dancing. I took several classes: from ballroom dances, rock'n'roll to my latest discovery – zouk. Dance is a discussion between two people – and I love listening.

I decided to study Physics because I love discovering the basic principles about the world around us. I have decided to specialise in optics and photonics – unusual properties of photons have never ceased to amaze me. I would be delighted to share my knowledge with others.

Sailing. So far most on Mazurian Lakes in Poland and Baltic and North Sea. I am dreaming of sailing around Mediterranean Sea. When you come onboard you may be almost sure to meet extraordinary people with a lot of experience, people who are kind and understand importance of cooperation. I had a pleasure to experience it few times and I thrive to continue my sailing adventures. Moreover, sailing is one of the best ways to relax and clear my mind.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC
In case of music I have a little bit diffrent approach than most people. I don't like dividing music into genres. I sort music using memories, emotions I have with it.
So if you ask me what kind of music I prefer I wouldn't give you a simple answer and it is highly possible that my answer one week later would not be the same :)

MOVIES
In case of movies, You may say I am a little bit childish, but I love animated movies, because I believe that message coming from the movie is up-to-date even for adults, and since we have still problem with so basic attitudes in live - watching animated movies is not meaningless.
My favourite one: "How To Train Your Dragon 1 & 2"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Two days at buddhist monastery (Wat Thamkrabok) in Thailand – living with monks and helping them in taking care of people willing to win with their addictions. Absolutely breathtaking experience full of beautiful stories to recall.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Currently I don't have the opportunity (and conditions) to host anyone but as soon as I have, I would be to share my couch and teach people cooking some polish dishes.

I can always share a glass of wine/beer and talk. I can share some intriguing aspects of optics and photonics.
