ABOUT ME

There is a lot of things I could say. Right now I'm working as a freelance translator, still not sure what I want to be when I grow up. For now, I try to enjoy life (all work and no play make Jeanne a dull girl), cooking stuff that will taste good, go for long bike rides, play tennis (I suck though), long weekends, have a cup of coffee on the balcony... Ok, my life doesn't always look like an instagram picture, sometimes I'm bored and just play video games while eating ramen.

Overall, I think I'm an easy-going and simple person. My friends say I'm a good 'conversation-starter' and that I'm a funny person. I love hugging cats (and people sometimes), I'm also really close to my friends, so close that we took a family picture together (see pictures), because why not? Anyways. My biggest quality? I'm REALLY nice. It's a boring quality, but all my friends seem to agree on that one.

I also have a special skill: remember birthday dates and phone numbers, or anything number-related.

PHILOSOPHY

Tomatoes are the base of a good dinner.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed a lot of places. I hosted a bunch of people in Montreal and in Bologna (Italy), I hope I didn't freak them out ;) I made a lot of good friends on CS, there are quite a few people I hosted/surfed with that I met again afterwards, or that I still talk to on Skype.

Interests

I like food, books, cycling, Twin Peaks, hanging out, parks, garage sales, coffee, nice posters/drawings, farmers markets, the french language, panzanella... Staying up late, Montreal flats, new experiences, kitsch postcards, music, video games, karaoke, children books, old photos, board games (especially Life), absurd everyday stuff, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite authors: Boris Vian, Henri Michaux, Dostoievsky, Maupassant, Kafka, etc. Currently reading: Le rouge et le noir (Stendhal)
Movies: I like watching different kinds of movies when it's not too violent (I just can't). I think the movie I saw the most in my life is Wayne's World.
Music: Well, that's a tough one. From psychedelic rock to hip-hop, I guess I listen to a lot of different stuff. Some of them: The Beatles, Outkast, King Crimson, J Dilla, Electric Light Orchestra, Air, Ween, Rodriguez, Talking Heads, Fleetwood Mac, Kate Bush, Tame Impala, John Cale, Mac Demarco, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I met two people on a small beach in Mexico that happened to be my brother's neighbors.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I once was a Beatles freak, so I could teach/annoy you with many useless facts about them.
Learn: german, tennis, knitting, the meaning of life
Share: I can make good pasta for two

Also if someone could fix my George Harrison figurine I would be really thankful.
