About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Connecting people across continents and cultures. Helping them to understand each other

ABOUT ME

I'm a world traveller, a journalist and I'm trying to improve my photography skills. Take a look at my website www.temoris.org

I'm a friend of good-hearted people, whichever their ways. I care about the planet and I'm doing what I can to help make this a better world, by writing what I see. I travel looking for stories of people doing good things to improve reality, so that I can later tell about it to readers in the other side of the globe.
Xenophobia, the fear to otherness, only disappears when we get to know the others, start to feel them, begin to undertand them and realise they are the same as us.

I've published three books (one on the 2009 protests in Iran, one on the Mexican fundamentalist right-wing movement and one on a journalistic trip by Southern and Eastern Africa) and collaborate with several media. I'm a columnist for the Latin American editions of Esquire and National Geographic Traveler magazines, and a contributor for Mexico's Proceso and Domingo weeklies and two leading dailies: Buenos Aires' La Nación and Barcelona's El Periódico de Catalunya.
I'm nearly finishing my third round-the-world trip, having visited 84 countries and territories so far.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that fear to the unknown is an important cause for discrimination and violence. Using journalism to tell people about other peoples' lives, problems, achievements and dreams (to show them how similar we all are, and that our differences only make the world more interesting) will help to create a better mutual understanding. I admire the people who actively try to overcome their problems, however big these can be. That's why I report not only on this or that tragedy, but mainly on the people who are doing things to change reality for better.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can provide a couch and give help to people coming to Mexico.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Many people have slept in my place and many others have let me sleep in theirs, even when they barely knew me. I've received a lot of unexpected help from unknown people in my life, and hope to provide it back.
