About Me
Hi, I'm Tijn!
I am a Mechanical Engineering student, now writing my thesis in Micro & Nano Engineering. I'm an open minded guy that likes to meet people from all over the world.
I am currently planning a trip to Georgia (the country) and after I finish my thesis I want to go to South-America for a couple of months.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love travelling and I think CS offers a very nice possibility of discovering a place in a non-touristic way. I prefer meeting people locally to see what the place has to offer besides the lonely planet highlights. And I would very much like to host people at my place and show you around in the Netherlands/Delft.
I joined Couchsurfing when I lived in Spain, after high school, but I didn't use it that much and I wasn't very active. But this year, I had some very nice experiences with Couchsurfing in Japan, so I decided to reactivate my profile and start hosting!
Interests
I'm interested in a lot of things. I play badminton, squash, do hiking and cycling, but also practise snowboarding and kitesurfing. And I'd like to learn a lot more!
I play the clarinet and, just like all of us, I like meeting people and seeing the world.
Also, I enjoy going to parties, drinking beer, and organizing trips with friends. Wow, so hard, to describe yourself by the way. When I came to Delft, I joined a fraternity, so I met plenty of people to do all kinds of activities with. These range from organizing parties, to snowboarding trips and even a trip to China, but also drinking whiskey and discussing life...
