ABOUT ME
Au début (2002) :
I started hosting 10 years ago in America before I even knew what Couch Surfing was. I was really passionate about all things music--playing in bands, recording, booking shows--which is how I stumbled upon this brilliant concept. Giving strangers a place to kip after a gig and staying up all night talking to together is an incredible way to meet people.
I finally heard about this site a few years ago, registering straight away. However, it wasn't until I started travelling on my own to random places that I realised just how amazing this thing is! A pint with a stranger turned into a mid-winter mid-blizzard hitch-hiking adventure (nearly died). A summer later I found myself caught under the rain in a Spanish forest for 3 days (nearly died). A week's worth of hitch hiking bought me back to Bordeaux where I saved a man's life (he nearly died)! So for the moment, looks like the score's 1-2, advantage nature.
Band Surfers / The legendary chaps responsible for my 'formation':
Joshua James
The Dead Science
Parenthetical Girls

Bobby Birdman
The Badger King
Foot Village
Xiu Xiu
Yume Bitsu
Little Wings
Actuel (2012) :
Sold everything I owned, moved to Dublin, working for a French bank, but mostly having the craic and showing people my city. Going forward. Trying to live, not just exist.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've met some absolutely incredible and life-changing characters on this site. Some have hosted me while travelling, I've hosted others, and some were just happy little accidents.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
If it weren't for CouchSurfing I never would've met a mad BASE jumper, hitchhiked to Limerick during a -10° winter, met the most incredible girl in Bordeaux, ...I couldn't be where I am now if it weren't for this site and the people on here.
Interests
I love cycling ! Haven't found a cheese I don't like (Feel free to present a challenge but I did live in the north and I love roquefort, epoisses, maroilles).
Art, travel, being lost, faire du stop.
Music, Movies, and Books
Gotan Project, Beirut, Yann Tiersen, jazz, indie, electro!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hitchhiked through France for 6 weeks, walked across the entirety of Northern Spain, then found my way 1000s of kilometres back to Dublin.
