About Me

CURRENT MISSION

KYLE: What's the Primary Main Objective? CARTMAN: You don't even know what the Primary Main Objective is? STAN: The Primary Main Objective is to destroy the Evil Power.

ABOUT ME

I try to lead happy life and find a balance between what I have to do and what I want to do.

PHILOSOPHY

"The only things that are truly yours are places you visit and things you eat" (my grandmother)

"Maciek - remember - thinking shouldn't be a luxury" (my grandfather)

"There's an old joke - um... two elderly women are at a Catskill mountain resort, and one of 'em says, "Boy, the food at this place is really terrible." The other one says, "Yeah, I know; and such small portions." Well, that's essentially how I feel about life - full of loneliness, and misery, and suffering, and unhappiness, and it's all over much too quickly. The... the other important joke, for me, is one that's usually attributed to Groucho Marx; but, I think it appears originally in Freud's "Wit and Its Relation to the Unconscious," and it goes like this - I'm paraphrasing - um, "I would never want to belong to any club that would have someone like me for a member."" (Woody Allen)

"The limits of my language mean the limits of my world" (Ludwig Wittgenstein)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

From time to time, but recently it gets less regular. It used to be mainly regular meetings in Prague and trips here and there. I host sometimes, but mainly people that I already know and only when conditions at home allow (my flatmates are not so into CS).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Always positive. Never negative. I don't like superficial relationships between people.

Interests

A lot: photography, cycling, flying, I used to do a lot of climbing and mountaineering, endless planing, enjoying life. Recently I've started riding a motorbike, which is sort of flying as well. I'm also slowly getting involved into hang gliding.

Music, Movies, and Books

A loooot of different stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Many many things! Some bigger some smaller.

Old roman fort on Hardknott Pass in English Lake District build by Roman soldiers recruted from present Croatia. Picturesque scenery and 2000 years of history in one place. A feeling of freedom and magic, shared with a very close friend of mine.

My first quasi-XC-flight in Meduno in Italy in May 2010 and whole September of 2010 spent in Annecy/Mt. Saleve and Geneva, where I could fly and fly and fly and care only about the weather. Very small things, but they will lead me to some bigger stuff in future, I hope.

Teach, Learn, Share

The most difficult thing is to put this piece of knowledge into action and be constantly proactive about your life. Find a balance between cold calculation and emotions.
